Doesn't sound like either fans or the press miss out on Stoops talking football. It is much better just to hang out with Stoops than be him and Petrino.

I heard the organizer of the Gov Cup event on ESPN Louisville radio this morning with Drew Diener and his little sidekick. They are both UL cheerleaders of course but the organizer said he was never told that Stoops would not be here and he signed a contract with Petrino in March to be here for the event. Said the only thing he heard was a couple of weeks ago he was told by UK that he wouldn't be staying to play golf. Their spin is it isn't so much about the game but it's about the rivalry, the former players and coaches who helped make the programs, and the charities that benefit from the event. Said MItch Barnhart should force Stoops to he here
