NEW YORK (AP) — Arkansas has taken the second-largest fall out of the AP college football poll, dropping from eighth to unranked after losing to Louisiana-Monroe.

The Razorbacks were upset 34-31 in overtime after losing quarterback Tyler Wilson to an injury. The only team to take a more drastic fall from the poll was Michigan in 2007. The Wolverines opened the season at No. 5 and dropped out after a Week 1 loss to Appalachian State.http://bigstory.ap.org/article/arkansas-takes-big-fall-out-ap-poll

And ULM receiving 23 votes, making them # 33 in the nation.

Interesting :).

Could they have been looking forward to Alabama?
After what I saw last night, Bama is 2-3 TD's better than Arkansas. Saban will show no mercy...

It's funny--I have not heard anyone say that, and I think that very well could be the case. In fact, I think it's probable.

Arkansas fans speculated in the 2nd half that Coach Smith was saving Tyler Wilson for Alabama, and he wasn't really hurt. Since then I've heard he has either a concussion, or a broken collarbone, with both being rejected officially.

What in the world would you think as an Arkansas fan if you learned that to be the truth--no real injury, a little banged up, just departed with a 21-7 lead that stretched to 28-7--and then you lost the game?

Probably hurt, but interesting to think about. Would cement John L. Smith's fate, if it is not already cemented.

If he's wasn't hurt last night, he will be next Saturday night. The pressure ULM put on him will be minor compared to what the Tide will bring.
