"Americans United for Change", a nearly direct shill for the White House, is running a horribly propagandizing ad in Kentucky against Mitch, on his stance against universal background checks. It shows an "Al Queda recruitment video" that claims you can buy a FULLY AUTOMATIC assault weapon at a gun show without a background check or even a license. That is of course an absolute lie. You can't get a fully automatic with less than a complete fingerprinting and at least a 4 month rectal exam done directly by ATF. You'll also spend $15K+. Says 82% of Kentuckians support universal checks, and the source is Bloomberg's group. Anyone believe it in Kentucky? Really?

To this point I haven't emailed or called my Senators b/c both are strong supporters of my view on this, but I'm going to contact Mitch's office to let him know to not cave to that BS. This is what Bloomberg did in Colorado, spending upwards of $12 million just from his group in ads to push their legislation, including helping groups like AUC financially as well. May work on the displaced Californians, probably not so much on Kentucky good ol' boys, but I'm not taking any chances.

Edit: Found a story that discusses it without giving them a web hit:

Giffords now going to run ads against Mitch as well, in Lexington and Louisville. Mitch is vulnerable by senior Senator standards, but not b/c of his view on the gun issue.
