Evidently a large number of church's in the Charlotte area, across many different denominations wanted to give gift baskets to the delegates welcoming them to Charlotte. DNC turned them down, said the churches were against the DNC platform. So they asked if they could give letters to the delegates offering assistance, travel help, communications help, any way they could help and to pray for them and offer any spiritual help if needed. Again turned down because they were pro life.

Now, does anyone really believe the DNC put God back in their platform because they really just over looked it

As I said in the other thread, it is a prime opportunity to woo Blacks to the GOP. I asked an African-American co-worker once why they were so loyal to the Democrats when so many were in lockstep with with GOP positions on issues across the board. His reply, "because they court us. They make us feel wanted." It would take a sustained effort, not a token one, but if the GOP could get even 10% of that vote, it would put put conservative policy in control for a long time IF they do what they're elected to do.
