As far as I am concerned, the whole season and Jokers career hinge on this game. We need to play like it.

Touchdown

8-7 good guys answer back, and a heckuva job doing it. Love the no-huddle. Can we find a defense?

Nice answer by the offense!!

Love the way they seemed to control the tempo and didn't get down on themselves, just got after it.
Can the defense help them out some?

Offense looks good, defense still on the bus.

Defense so far from ready they would have to call long distance to talk to it.

Wow. Just wow.

kingcat
09-02-2012, 03:27 PM
coach Minter should be embarrassed

Darrell KSR
09-02-2012, 03:27 PM
Going to be a very long season if defense continues to play like this. I am not buying Louisville's offense causing this.

kencat
09-02-2012, 03:27 PM
D just looks awful.

truecatsfan
09-02-2012, 03:27 PM
I thought they said the d line was the strength of this team

kingcat

North Hardin High School is better defensively.

Inept doesn't begin to describe the defense so far.

CitizenBBN
09-02-2012, 03:40 PM
Defense is getting manhandled at every position and in every aspect of the game. Giving QB all day, o-line pushing anywhere it wants to go, CBs with no ball awareness. Stunningly bad so far.

BigBluePappy
09-02-2012, 03:41 PM
"Inept doesn't begin to describe the defense so far."

It's a good start....

kencat
09-02-2012, 03:42 PM
About as bad as a D can look...

CitizenBBN
09-02-2012, 03:43 PM
I thought they said the d line was the strength of this team

I sure hope not b/c it's shocking how UL his shoving them around. I mean it's unreal.

You and I could gain yards with the holes their o-line is opening up. If this keeps up SEC teams are going to hang 70 on us. UL may do it.

kencat
09-02-2012, 03:44 PM
DB's don't know where the ball is, AGAIN!

truecatsfan
09-02-2012, 03:44 PM
99 85 93, Minter sceme sucks

CitizenBBN
09-02-2012, 03:45 PM
This is one of those games that, if it goes like this for 4 quarters, will not only cost Joker his job but may (and probably should) cost Mitch his job. This defense is beyond bad, and I'm with Darrell et al that this isn't all about UL being good. Good high school teams would be putting yards up on this defense.

CitizenBBN
09-02-2012, 03:48 PM
99 85 93, Minter sceme sucksAv

Averaging something like 9 yards per play on the last drive (and maybe overall, listening to radio and missed part of it).

This is very bad if Williams is hurt. He's a huge bright spot in a game of few bright spots.

CitizenBBN
09-02-2012, 03:50 PM
Well it was Newton in the Wildcat. Lonny Demaree called it.

Now the turnover.

Williams a bright spot. Maxwell Smith a bright spot. Any others? The black holes are all too obvious and would suck up whole galaxies.

CitizenBBN
09-02-2012, 03:51 PM
Absolutely no push from the d-line, he's going to pick us completely apart.

09-02-2012, 03:52 PM

CitizenBBN
09-02-2012, 03:56 PM
Staff has no guts either. No TO to try to do something with the ball, down 2 TDs. Just too conservative given that we won't beat people by just being bigger and faster at every position.

Pitiful to not even try.

kingcat
09-02-2012, 03:59 PM
I'm becoming resigned to the fact that we just aren't going to have a good football program in my lifetime I just can't handle another season of "wannabe" status....and we have a way to go to reach that lofty goal it seems.

truecatsfan
09-02-2012, 04:03 PM
IM starting to figure out why Minter was at Marshall.

Lfbj00
09-02-2012, 04:07 PM
The defensive line is getting blown off the ball yet again. There's a damn good reason why our leading tacklers the past few years have been linebackers and DB's. It's hard not to lead the team in tackles when the d-line is laying on their ass!!

Just stop em every once in a while, because the offense doesn't look bad at all.

dan_bgblue
09-02-2012, 04:07 PM
Smith is serviceable and hasn't done anything to get the team beat. Short passing game working OK and that is good as his long ball is a rainbow. Williams very good on kick off returns and from the LOS. Receivers catching the passes!!!!!!!!! Kicking game looks OK.

3-4 defense is getting manhandled and mauled. Not looking good at all. Secondary and linebackers look lost in pass coverage, and backers are filling the wrong gaps and failing to contain the edge.

Bridgewater is a pretty darn good QB and was only pressured once in the first half.

I think I am glad there is a 2nd half.;)

kingcat
09-02-2012, 04:15 PM
Minter isn't the answer...Joker should have known that...Barnhart should have understood neither were capable....fans should demand all three be shipped elsewhere I think.

Wake me when Calipari speaks.

Isn't this statement a contradiction? If it were me I'd be sad I wasn't watching or attending b/c then I'd be too drunk to care. ;)

Offense is at least trying, I think the defense is stuck on I-64 in traffic. So about the same.

Or a really short one, b/c no one will be following it. Will be able to really stretch out if you go to Commonwealth for games this season.

Citizen, i have had season tickets for 16 years now, but im starting to think about not getting them after this year. Not only that this was the first year i never sent them a bouns check

CitizenBBN
09-02-2012, 05:54 PM
We kept our tickets, and probably will regardless b/c every year we say "it's got to get better eventually", and it's a great excuse for us to just take off and have some family time, but that's hardly enough reason for people to keep paying thousands for tickets. We may decide a day at the lake is a better choice if this keeps up.

People who have sat through a lot of bad football are finally giving up, and who can blame them? We're back to as bad as we've been in a long while and those fans have sat through Curry and then probation and then finally having hope just to have it all dashed.

We didn't renew b/c we had any expectations of watching good football, we knew it would be ugly, and if your remaining sales pitch is "come enjoy a bowl of chili and a nice afternoon out of the house" you won't sell many tickets.

I am no longer a devoted fan of UK football, but back to where i was twenty five years ago as a proud 'Bama fan.

I may become a bandwagon fan sometime in the future, but I have more pressing things to do than pull for a perennial loser who obviously could care less.

Roll tide!!

Aaron Boyd Looked Good today, as did Daryl Collins (damn he is fast and quick), and Demarcus Sweat. Don't understand why the last 2 mentioned did not play a lot more today. Both are frosh and are potential big play guys every time they touch the ball

suncat05
09-02-2012, 06:27 PM
I don't care how much he says he loves Kentucky football............ CJP is not the answer. We're going to be lucky to win 3 games this season. We were never in this game. This is just beyond sad.
Hang on folks, this is going to get beyond ugly.
I saw some stuff on offense to make me think we have some playmakers, but when you keep fumbling the ball away and just will not throw the ball DOWNFIELD more than once a game, this is what you get. And our defense? Uh, what defense? I thought the defense was supposed to be this team's strength? The defense just looked LOST for most of the game.
We just got our asses handed to us by the best of the worst football league in the entire NCAA, and truthfully, I still am not convinced that Louisville is that good.
So what does it say about Kentucky football? Not much, obviously. :(
