Gas prices are closing in on $4 here in Louisville.
Just one short year after Bozo took over gas prices have risen from $1.57 to $3.97.
So glad the Democrats are getting what they wish for.
What pluses or improvements fall under this dictation of a president?

I have read gas prices are closing in on $7 in California. Can that be confirmed?

I paid $4.19 today, in FL for Midgrade. Used to cost me $30 to fill up. Today was $63.00. And that is at Wawa's.

I really hope that the people who voted for Bozo Biden and his crew of inept and corrupt Obama retreads is happy with these results. And this is just the beginning, folks. So strap in, because it's going to get a lot worse.

My Mini Cooper takes premium, so I had the luxury of dropping $3.93 a gallon at Costco this morning here in Naples and my wallet is $41 lighter for it. That was a $25 fill up a year ago….

Gas is $3.99 here in Titusville, Florida. I filled up the Boss's car for her, it was $36.00 FOR HALF A TANK OF GAS! :mad0176:

This time last year it wouldn't have cost $36.00 for a full fill-up.

Oil is traded on commodity markets. The price of it was going to be up for the US consumer whether our production is up or not. The bigger problem is when you are dependent, the price is always higher than what your own production would be. That’s where we are currently.
Utilities and natural gas are also ridiculously priced at the moment too.

Adding that it also ties our hands geopolitically, and gives us very little ability to respond to spikes in prices due to international issues.

Right where we were in the 1970s. Limiting US production is a big mistake for any number of strategic reasons, and does nothing to help the climate since we are simply getting our oil from Russia instead of the keystone pipeline.

Well, Leftism is working out great so far for the average Joe, isn't it?

Strangle the key economic input of the nation, after shutting down the second biggest artery (coal), and watch the fun!

But this will create new jobs and opportunities. For your grandkids. Meanwhile you'll be in a soup line. But it will be worth it b/c it will save the climate. Well not really b/c China and India and the rest are ramping up to take our place and they are not nearly so environmentally conscious.

So we won't help the global climate, we won't help the average person, and in the end we won't even reduce our energy footprint b/c even Elon Musk says we have to double our electric production in order to support electric cars, which means we're a long way from using solar and wind etc. as our main power sources.

So other than causing lots of pain for absolutely no gain, this is a great plan. Really, stick to it. I know it's like a religion, so keep it up.

Yeah, b/c he doesn't have his head firmly lodged up his launching pad, as it were.

He knows we need ENERGY to function and solar and wind simply cannot replace oil and nuclear and gas even in the medium term. I'm all for saving the planet, but I'm not for committing economic suicide in a vain attempt either.

Elon Musk loves Western Civilization. He wants his children and their children, and so on, to benefit from it. I heard him talk in Butte, MT. His reasons for what he does are about that; civilization requires energy. He moved to Texas because California sucks. He is not on stolen race claimer Liz Warren’s invite list.

That's correct. This energy policy is completely intentional, and designed to raise the price of fossil fuels so high that "green" energy looks like a good alternative. They are perfectly fine to induce a massive increase in prices across the board in the US in order to get there.

Of course that will dramatically lower the earning power and thus the wealth of all but the very richest families, but they don't care b/c the planet has to be saved.

Why else would you cancel a major oil and gas lease sale in the middle of a huge oil and gas price spike? I'ts not like they're hiding it.
