Been on alert all night as a wildfire has broken out just down the road from our CO home. We are in FL so having to follow alerts from the county. Development was evacuated but now are able to return except those who live on Porcupine. We are at Prunes/ Silverheels... pretty close. Hell, I got hurricanes or wildfires!!!

I pray it stays away from your new home. The heat out that way is a huge cause for concern when it comes to wildfires.

Keep us informed.

Nobody sent me a picture of ashes. My contractor called me with the alert, then I set up acct with county to be informed. Sort of an odd feeling. Does not appear as if any property was damaged, and as of last night was only 2acres, however they can spread quickly.

Probably no more than two miles away for a crow.

Just now seeing this and Holy Crud! Like KentuckyWildcat said, maybe 2 air miles...prayers for your second home, Doc.
Thank goodness none of your family is there if anything does go sideways...

My contractor has a lot on Porcupine. He is concerned it was his lot. He will be there tomorrow to check it out, and do some things on our punch list. Glad there was no "property damage" , meaning no homes burnt. Likely a vacant lot or two, and they handled it
