I have been jogging on the beach before when an unexpected bolt of lightening hit nearby. There is nothing scarier. There is also no place to go which is just as scary. The charge spreads throughout the sand.

I have never seen lightning strike that close, and I hope the closest I ever come to it is this video. It is the scariest lightning strike I've seen.

I’ve been close enough to a lightning strike to feel the heat off of it….not fun at all….

The more I watch the video and listen to the noise, I am about to convince myself that the light and noise was the result of a fireworks rocket.
