Assistant U.S. Attorneys, Professional Staff, and Contractors, in observance of Juneteenth National Independence Day, June 19th, 2021, all U.S. Attorney Offices in the Southern District of Florida and all U.S. District Courthouses will be closed tomorrow, June 18th, 2021.

Yep. Another paid holiday for gov't workers. My wife appreciates the taxpayers generosity of yet another day off with pay. Thanks to each and every one of you

I will be honest...I don't even know what "Juneteenth" is, nor do I care, or have the desire to google it

I had never heard of it until about 5 years ago.

How come we don't have a holiday for the Emancipation Proclamation? :533:

Employees should have to trade the day off for Christmas for for the new Juneteenth holiday. It's over commercialized anyway. What are the traditional Juneteenth celebrations in Montana?

As a federal employee, I want to thank all you taxpayers for my extra paid day off. :D

I'm looking at 2022 and figuring I can take off the 17 days from June 18 (the Saturday before Juneteenth) through Monday, July 4 and have to take only 9 days of vacation time. Positively European!

BTW, my favorite federal holiday: Columbus Day. No one expects the Spanish Inquisition, and no one expects Columbus Day is a paid day off.

Eve is usually a early release, but not mandated federal holiday
