Looks like Obama is drafting his own immigration plan which will not include toughening up our borders. Is he trying to sink immigration reform? Does he not realize it is not his job to legislate, but to execute the laws written by Congress? There is a reason the POTUS is not a sponsor of a bill. It is called Separation of Powers.

Of course he is. He wants all the illegal immigration possible. He wants to "transform America" and this is part of it, putting so much stress on the system and upping the voting representation of the poor and downtrodden he can create radical change.

Hes' been pretty honest about it over the years. He may not get his way on this one. The Senate effort is good legislation, a compromise that solves problems on both sides and gives each something but not all they want. He'd have to use his chips to go against a lot of members of his own party on this one and nothing he proposes has any chance of passing.

He has yet to realize he doesn't have many chips. The day following the election he became a lame duck president. Second terms have traditionally been unkind to the sitting POTUS. A POTUS who thinks he has a strong majority of the people on his side, but really only has half at best, can dig himself a huge hole then fall into it.
