What was the night like at the convention? Does Trump have a chance?

I watched some of it. You had several everyday Americans talk about their experiences (small business owner from Montana; a teacher from California; and a nurse from West Va) who talked about how they feel Trump has helped them and the country.

Don Jr had a strong, commanding speech that certainly makes me think he may want a political future.

Trump had a social distance conversation for first responders. It really showed his TV persona well and interacting with folks in that manner.

The couple from St. Louis (?) who defended their property from protesters who trespassed their gated community spoke. It appeared that protesters verbally harrassed them while they stood their ground.

The notion that Democrats are not good Americans was in full force.

It seemed a lot more positive than the DNC was last week.

I did not think the St Louis couple were all that good. Herschel Walker was excellent, as was Nicki Haley

Not sure I agree with the democrats are not good Americans. I took it as Democratic politicians are not looking out for America's best interests. I felt it was pretty much inclusive especially with the Trump spots where he talked to regular people, not just political hacks

To me Herschel said a lot and was impressive.

Herschel Walker is very impressive in general. I was not watching that part but having him speak is a powerful element to the first night's program.

My biggest wish so far was that Trump put Sen. Scott on the ticket as VP. He actually has the ability and vision to heal some wounds and bridge gaps of understanding.

If he gets any more prominent I expect the knives to come out big time. He's very dangerous to the current mob thinking that the only answers to disparity and unfairness come from the Left. He's well aware of things like police bias, but can present ideas for actual progressive reform instead of using it as nothing more than a lever for broader political goals.

I don't really have time to watch it right now, wanted to see the speech from our state AG. Wanted to see Walker's as well. The man asks a good question re Trump, would love to hear a response based in something real.

Tim Scott was very impressive also, well worth listen to.

I am honestly fearful of the Democratic Party and if Biden wins, Americans better take a long look and be honest with themselves.
This country will not stand for a socialist government there will be a civil war again before that happens.

Several good ones tonight. Nicholas Sandman was far better than I expected. Ditto for the KY AG. And the former Planned Parenthood lady knocked it out.....and I am pro-choice

Scott/Haley would make an excellent 2024 Republican ticket. Especially given how we conservatives are all misogynistic racists.
