Survival/elimination game...2020

[Doc]

Elimination (or Survival) game: Each week you pick ONE SEC team to win. Its that simple. There are no points, no spreads. Just pick the winner. HOWEVER in the following weeks you can not re-use a team. So if you pick GA to win in week 1 then you can not use GA in week 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 etc. If you pick MS in week 2 you can not use GA or MS in weeks 3 or 4 or 5 or 6. If your picked team loses, you get a strike. Three strikes and you are out of the game. This game requires you to play from week one. All teams will be used meaning you will have 14 picks and 11 weeks, but I am giving one Ten Foot Pole optional pick. You can SKIP ONE WEEK if you choose (or miss due to forgetfulness). You can to do it once and only once during the season. Because you will be required to pick all 14 teams in an 11 week span (each team has 10 games plus one bye week =11 weeks), you must double pick in 3 of the weeks (or 4 if you ten foot pole one week). Triple picks, quadruple picks etc in one week are NOT allowed (max 2 teams picked in one week). ALL teams must be used by the final week, and you must play each week (excluding your one ten foot pole).

Also it is up to the player to keep track of teams used. I will try to make sure you don't reuse the same team, and keep a running post, but sometimes I miss a double pick. If you do double pick, and we don't catch it, it will be an invalid pick and you must make up that week (it goes as as TFP if you have it) or at least a double pick the following week. I trust that most are on the honor system because its a game. Likewise, if you don't get your pick in at kick off but you have not seen the game or score..have no knowledge of the action...go ahead and pick. Because its a game!

I like this format the best so far with the you pick the double or triple weeks. Brings way more strategy into it. Only problem I see is that somebody could nix out before somebody else while having more picks. So final standing is based on NUMBER of correct picks, rather than the week you exited. Currently all are approx equal. Each player still in has made 7 picks except for Flounder who has 6. We are all close, however Catfan 73 made it to 7 picks so he could still tie everybody but me.

I'm going to take AU against MSU next week (12/12) and hope like heck they reschedule the Tenn/Vandy game for the 19th, or I'll have to take TN against aTm next week also. FORGET THAT

Now that they have rescheduled, I'm gonna TFP this week. I know that leaves me three picks in the last two weeks.

I used all 14, you still have vandy left. Vandy plays GA next weekend so you got them. Assuming VU loses, we both end up 12-2. I'm happy with a TIE but if you want to go extra innings we can. Go to the bowls and list the SEC teams most likely to win to least likely to win. Who ever has the lowest first loss wins.
