What am I missing that would have one vote as a Democrat?
I get the hate of Trump but it runs so much deeper then that.
I get politics can be a very touchy subject but how could anyone vote for a socialist government where it’s give everything for free and the hard working Americans of all races are just taxed to death.
I see this as a pivotal election also and one if the Democrats win will continue to destroy this proud nation.
So please help me to understand.

You believe ISM and IST is the most important thing and that outweights all individual freedoms...

I do not believe in them but I do think each should work hard and not expect the federal government to coddle and pay for everything.

Democrats used to believe in America, liberty and American Exceptionalism as much as anyone else. They loved their country, they were proud of it. They believed in the vision of the Founders, in individual liberty. They wanted to help those who were less fortunate and while I might disagree with the methods I never disagreed with their intentions.

That was the Democrats of FDR, Ronald Reagan's younger years, then JFK and even Carter and even Clinton by and large.

Those days are gone. Most who are still registered as Democrat still do believe those things of course, but they have been abandoned by their leaders and their surrender to extremism.

The people in charge now see America as a source of repression, wrong-doing and a blight on human history, and they value their socially engineered vision of their arbitrary "justice" far more than they care about the rights of anyone who must be "cancelled" to get them there.

You can sit down and reason and compromise with an old school Democrat b/c fundamentally all we were debating was HOW to get somewhere, not where to go. We all wanted liberty, we all wanted those less fortunate to have opportunities and better themselves.

Modern Leftists (notice I never call them "Democrats" on here) cannot be compromised with b/c they have the conviction of a religious zealot who sees compromise as evil, and there is no common ground b/c they reject all of Americas great contributions to humanity and reject the very goal, individual liberty, of our very founding.

Where is the common ground with someone who believes America is fundamentally evil, up to and including men like Abraham Lincoln and even women like Susan B. Anthony, and rejects the very goal of preserving individual rights and individual expression?

The problem then is if you vote for someone who is otherwise an "old Democrat", he/she is very hard under the thumb of these Leftists, and if they are in majority then the negotiation is between hard left and extreme left, not middle of the road.

If the Democrats win the Senate they will be under intense pressure to eliminate the filibuster rules, and if they do this country will lurch off the middle harder than it has ever done, or at least since the Civil War.

The Democrats in charge during the Clinton years still left compromise. We actually got a lot of very center or center right legislation. Other than his personal behavior I have little issue with his administration overall b/c it was a very moderate effort. That simply won't happen now.

Biden urges Americans to choose hope over fear.
Where does the fear come from that he speaks of?
Young liberals hear that and they are completely sucked into the mirage of lies and excess taxes.

It is the fear he promotes. What I fear is the move towards socialism. I find it funny they label Trump a threat to democracy, so we should vote for the party that is pushing socialism, the antithesis of democracy

The push to socialism is why I say within 50 years there will not be a United States and a civil war will have happened.
This country is imploding as I type and that is not because of Trump.
Look at all the cities who have the out of control riots they are being run by Democrats.
Again this is a pivotal time in America history.

The democrats are using racism to promote their socialist agenda. It will be interesting to see where this all winds up. For sure the Dems believe minorities will vote based on skin color.

In likability and listening to Biden’s speech last night vs the ranting childish tweets Biden will win is my worry.
I try to tell those that hate Trump do not vote on hate really understand what the Democrats are backing.
