4 years ago I would have supported him and would have strongly considered voting for him. I know he does not care about whether I would vote for him or not, but Democrats should listen to his words with a wary ear.

Usually when a guy from one party speaks in prime time at the other party's convention, he knows his career is at an end: Zell Miller speaking at W's convention in 04, Lieberman speaking at McCain's, etc.

Yes he is now a non-sequitur.

4 years ago I did support him. Clearly his pride is too great to see what Trump has accomplished. If someone unbias ignores Trump the person and focuses on Trump's accomplishments, its clear that his tenure has been successful. It is sad to see Kasich throw his support towards socialism simply because Trump embarrassed him. Well, at least Jeb Bush didn't do the same. For me, Kasich is Romney light.

I might have considered voting for him 4 years ago as a Democrat but not as a Republican. He was not a Republican 4 years ago IMO. Nothing more than a Trojan Horse last time.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Kasich is no exception. To me his view is Trump wasn’t ever part of the club that legislators seem to think is exclusive. In fact, that view is a huge part of the problem this country is faced with at the moment.

The Swamp eats outsiders. Trump deicded to be the predator, not the prey

Yes, but he has had to fend off attacks every day.

Yes, but he has had to fend off attacks every day.

And to some degree I think he enjoys that activity.

Trump gives them plenty of ammunition to assail him.

And that attitude, thick with Kasich and others, is exactly why Trump won the election.

Trump is deeply flawed in many ways, yet he beat out Kasich and Bush and a host of other establishment, GOP candidates with long resumes, b/c a lot of GOP voters feel like those guys are milquetoasts, and they are right.

Kasich doing what he's done shows those voters were right. They're more interested in their sense of decorum and entitlement than in the party platform. Trump has no doubt shifted things to a Populist platform, but it's still closer to what a Reagan GOP platform would be than is the Democratic one that he just went and supported.

Some of that is his petulant, over the top nature, and some of I think it is purposeful trolling.

Pretty much. Honestly Trump isn't much different from DeBlasio, Bloomberg, Cuomo in his overall attitude. They're all obnoxious, self-absorbed self-promoters prone to exaggeration, bluster etc.
