OK, as I find the whole nature of our nation right now so utterly depressing, thought a laugh might do.

So, here's my entry. Can't decide if this makes her rubber bullet proof or a great target. Will be harder to miss when she's running away though. ;)

Forgive me suncat, but I could not resist bringing part of one of your previous posts into this thread.


When you are standing in a riot line, when you get the command to advance, that is exactly what you do.
The line may be balanced to the left, or the right, or in the famous "V" formation.
In any of those lines, you move forward, make contact if necessary, and keep moving forward. There are officers behind the line that are specifically designated to pick up any injured rioters. And if an officer falls out of formation, then the officer behind him moves into his slot, and someone moves into that officer's slot.
You cannot break ranks, thereby weakening the formation and setting yourselves up for failure.

I wonder if some might move faster than others in this situation?

No, and that is a great question.
It is done by cadence, and in most cases, to the rythym (spelling?) of stomping the left foot forward, then bringing the right foot in line with the left foot. And in conjunction with a vocal utterance as an additional notice to the protesters.

It's all to let the protesters know that you are there and you are not backing away.
