There is nor a standard for each state to report the information. National cancer, and heart disease groups are raising cane because the cases of terminal cancer and heart disease are being balled as Covid deaths if Covid was involved even though the underlying cause was really the cause of death. They claim that is skewing the stats for their pet disease.

This is happening all across the country not in just red or blue states.

Exactly...if you inflate the number you inflate the justification. You are better able to force your will if 100,000 die from this illness rather then 50,000. Add that from a financial aspect, hospitals get more gov't funds if it is a COVID death.

The coronavirus relief legislation created a 20% premium, or add-on, for COVID-19 Medicare patients.

I have complained from the beginning, there is no accuracy, consistency and reliability of data. It is just numbers.

From the business aspect, you can see why hospitals are pushing this since elective procedures stopped, and the hospitals income sources stopped along with that.

It's time to get back to work and get this nation going again.

Seriously?

It's 122 deaths that are reported incorrectly. State resources to identify causes of deaths are limited and sometimes it's easier to say that it's COVID before they can actually determine the actual cause of death.

There's actually larger numbers than 122 that were previously reported as other causes of death that now have been attributed to COVID. The numbers are going to be fluid until processing causes of death can catch up.

Typical reaction though, to find any shred of evidence to justify an opinion without really analyzing the reality.

I will agree that it's time to get things going again, but it needs to be done intelligently, not emotionally.

New math:

1150-878 = 122 (and that is just Colorado)
