Sweden has resisted any lockdown. Their death rate is higher than countries around them but the virus hasn’t escalated like some predicted there (obviously that could happen any day). I’m not making a statement as much as just asking if this is what we look like for a few months as herd immunity grows?

You can see from this chart that the virus isn’t going any more crazy than other countries (yet).

I suggest we go to a model where those of us with the most guns and ammo and with nothing to lose end up ruling the country, breaking down into little fiefdoms where the ruling class all have multiple wives (for repopulating the earth) and spend all day ordering people around and not doing much. :)

But without zombies and with running utilities and such. Sort of Walking Dead meets Hunger Games.

I think we should evac Southern California and Florida, give everyone 65 and older a fine home there should they want it, and let them run the entire United States at the federal level.

But seriously, I think the Sweden model is likely what May and June looks like for us. Its worth keeping an eye on. If they begin to load up on lots of deaths, it may show what a 2nd wave would look like here.

Ha. Yes, I know. He said he wanted to clear out Florida and SoCal of those NOT 65 in order to move in those that were.

I think you need to look at the Southern Hemisphere to see what it looks like. Our fall will likely be similar.

We'd have 10000 more deaths nationally if the US had the same number of deaths per million population as Sweden. I don't think people were ready for a bloodbath.

You would have to sanitize SoCal first.

You are un-invited to my first pool party when this is all over.

It would take a UK game and a gun to my head to get me back to SoCal. :tongue08:

....or maybe a day at Del Mar.

If true, that doesn’t bode well for us lifting the restrictions.

Just seen some headlines, haven't read them.

that and .02 won't get you coffee. I've seen multiple valid University and research sources saying the mortality rate is really high and that is going to prove to be as low as a bad flu.

No one really knows obviously, on much of anything. lol.
