King Obama the First.

this may end up biting him. it changes the gun debate for some from whether to have gun control to whether he should act unilaterally and gives the impression gun advocates want of this being the government taking big brother type action and not the democratic process.

Most Americans think even the high cap magazine ban will do little if anything to stop the next tragedy. you have those dead against it, those dead for it, and the middle who think it seems like an OK idea but don't really think it's effective. For those in the middle this can make it feel more like taking something away than just trying something. we'll see.

I was never a big NRA guy, but I'm sending them money. they aren't perfect but they are the lead on this fight the alternative they're fighting against is so dangerous we have to start hanging together or we're all going to hang separately.

if nothing else executive action can be fought more readily in the courts if we can get to the right courts. of course with 4 more years the courts will be decidedly more anti-gun.

King Obama the First.

There are beginning to be signs of an all out assault on the Constitution. Biden talks of executive orders to unilaterally institute gun restrictions and bans; Pelosi talks of bypassing the House of Representatives in the budgetary process through executive orders; where would it end?
