44-year old husband and father shot and killed in the line of duty, attempting to protect the public from car burglars. Another officer was critically shot as well.

One thug was shot and another apprehended.

Rest in peace, officer. Prayers for your family and friends.

Sad news I found out this morning. His son attends my son's high school. Was a band member there. He is a freshman. We didn't know him, as my son is a senior and not in the band.

The officer was an active band parent volunteer. He would often go straight from duty to a band event to volunteer.

The man epitomized service to others.

Rest in peace.
