1. Predict the Kentucky margin of victory (+) OR loss (-). If you believe that Kentucky will lose, make sure that you make it clearly known with a -- [minus sign], or something else.

2. Predict the game high scorer, AND the total number of points he will score in the game. NOTE--it does not have to be a Kentucky player for this KSR point.

3. OVER/UNDER 8 Predict whether Ashton Hagans will have OVER 8 (assists + steals) or UNDER 8 (assists + steals), and by how many.

4. Return to This, That and Any Other Thing. Hey, we're undefeated playing it, I return to Par-boil and we lose. Science, man. Will we see....

This: Immanuel Quickley makes at least one 3-pointer in the game?
That: Tyler Herro make 2 or more 3-pointers in the game?
or
Any Other Thing: Neither This nor That, or both This and That?

Tie Breaker: Number of offensive rebounds Kentucky gets (they had only 6 vs Alabama.)

Just for clarification, picking "Any Other Thing" gives you both picks (both hit their marks, or neither hit their marks).

In the future, we might try "Any Other Thing, but why" where you have to pick why--both or neither. And probably rename it. But not for today. You're good on both.

I'm always a fan of somebody that picks that. Just seems more confident and less weasley.

Scientifically examining the "This, That and Any Other Thing...."

This--has occurred in only 6 of 13 contests so far. But almost a coin flip. If you're feeling it (as I am), then it's a good pick.

That--has occurred in 8 of 13 contests so far. Pretty good bet that it will happen. At first I had 3+ 3-pointers listed, and that would have brought it to only 3/13 contests, and thought it needed to be more than that.

Any Other Thing. Odds of both occurring would be (.46 * .62), if the stats just hold, right? Of course, the opponent and how the players are playing dramatically change those odds.

The odds of neither occurring would be the odds of both (.54 * .38) occurring, which is the odds that Quickley would not hit a 3 (54%), and that Herro would not hit at least two 3's (38%).

And then the chances of both + neither occurring would be the sum of those two, right?

Do I have my math right? (28.5% for both; 20.5% for neither, total 49%?)

So...the raw math would be...

This: 46%
That: 62%
Any Other Thing: 49%

The math is probably wrong there, so correct me. I find it interesting, but I'm so incredibly rusty from college statistics a million years ago....

Cats had a 14-point lead, and the horn sounded, and Doc thought he had won this point. But 0.7 seconds back on the clock, a Hail Mary Prayer that meant nothing except to the boys in Vegas and the Hall of Fame players, and the margin was cut to change the winners to these two guys.

Tyler Herro led all scorers with 21, and one lucky picker gets the point.

4 assists, and 5 steals put the total at 9, which is 1 over the mark of 8 set. Two winners got this one right.

I think every single person got the "This, That or Any Other Thing" point right tonight--except one. I don't remember who it was, so we won't embarrass the person.

Quickley was 2-2, Herro 3-7, and combined for 5 of the 6 3-pointers the Cats had for the game. Both hit their marks, so "Any Other Thing" was correct (and most actually correctly identified it as "both" anyway, so they really did well.) One point to each of the following.

I've got Harlow going 4-for-4 with KSR HOF points tonight, with a great, great contest victory. Well-done, sir! No need for a tiebreaker here, but just for fun--he would've at least tied for the best tiebreaker among all those who scored a point tonight anyway. Great job.
