I believe we can all unify around 1 thing on this Election Day:
Spam political text messages are the Devil.
During the Kavanaugh hearings I got a spam text from the ACLU that was meant for my (very liberal) daughter, begging me to call Senator Paul and encourage him to vote No on Kavanaugh. Last night my daughter got a text intended for me (a registered Independent) begging me to vote for some local House candidate I'd never heard of.
Not only did both texts not reach their intended audience, they just flat out annoyed the heck out of both of us that we were getting spammed. If George Washington himself spam texted me from beyond the grave (and if any dead former President could figure out how to spam text from beyond the grave, I put my money on Washington to get it done), not only would it not cause me to vote for the person mentioned in the text, but would probably cause me NOT to vote for them.
So can we all come together, hold hands, sing Kumbaya and agree that the scourge of political spam texting--indeed, all spam texting--is hated by all and should be shunned with disdain?
