So assuming I get this live streaming figured out, I'm fine with battery power for the camera. I'm not sure I'm fine with the laptop, however.

Surface Pro 3, and I was thinking the easiest way to get additional battery power to it would be to use the power adapter and a power inverter I already have, connected to a battery. What type of battery would I need? I know a car battery is fine, because that's what it is used for now, but would anything smaller work? Other solutions?

Not sure I would want to carry a 50 to 60 pound battery with me from the car to the soccer field. In some cases I am sure you could park close to the field, but in others you might have to walk 1/2 mile from parking lot to the field.

How about using a couple of power packs that are used to recharge cell phones to recharge the laptop?

handy dandy power for many uses.
four USB connectors, clamps, and 110 household type plug, starts your car if the battery stalls, etc.. weighs twenty lbs or so i believe.

Can charge your phone, power your laptop, fill your air mattress, create a monster from re-animated body parts, and practice your arm curls all at one time

portable electronic device, battery charger, digital air compressor and jump starter

Would regular battery packs like the kind to charge a cell phone work? I would be more than fine with that.
