Our new CIA chief is from Ashland, KY and went to UK.

Did not know either of those tidbits...thanks.
I just looked her up on Wiki, 3 years at UK, and then transferred to UL for her senior year, where she graduated with a BA in language. Then went on to be a librarian, and later got her paralegal certificate, and eventually ended up working for the CIA.
