Doc, you may be on a really good diet, but I'm not sure I could squeeze through that window!

So does anybody think these will help? I mean if somebody wants to kill somebody, they will find a way to do it, right? For example.... In the video above, use the hammer on the glass window beside the door.

Of course I say that tongue in cheek because that is the argument that many gun advocates (many, not all) use against those who push for gun control. Obviously making it more difficult is the point in BOTH cases.

I will say that is a pretty economical and efficient method. Sometimes a simple fix is the best. Only going to work on a door with a metal jam, as a wood one would break out. Of course schools, etc are going to all be metal.

I might fit thru the one beside the doorNo windows beside the door. It's your standard hallway wall, concrete, I guess.

This. It is just buying every second they can. These things normally end pretty quick, so every second matters.

I’ve got two file cabinets next to the door in my classroom. If we get in an active shooter situation those will be used to barricade the door.

We have active shooter training coming up in two weeks. It should be interesting.

Same here!

We had an active shooter drill turn into a real threat once...interesting day.

The KSP told our principal that it is very intense training.
