1. Predict the Kentucky margin of victory (+) OR loss (-). If you believe that Kentucky will lose, make sure that you make it clearly known with a -- [minus sign], or something else.

2. Predict the game high scorer, AND the total number of points he will score in the game. NOTE--it does not have to be a Kentucky player for this KSR point.

3. OVER/UNDER: 37. Predict whether the total combined fouls, both teams, will be OVER or UNDER 37, and by how many.

4: PAR-boiled Kevin Knox. Haven't done this in awhile, so we'll see how large this can be. Predict Kevin Knox's "PAR-boiled" number--his Points multiplied by his Assists multiplied by his Rebounds.

Tiebreaker: Total number of made 3-point field goals by Kentucky in the first half of the game.

Good luck!

Deleted my post Saturday am. I discovered I somehow have UK one point better and if I pick against us and we win I would kill myself. Pappy, I swear I’m not copying lol.

How could you?
You posted before me, we have different high scorers AND the last time I checked this was all for funsies.
If someone gets a little bent about an online game, then they need to rethink their priorities just a little.
The fact that we are shaming similar thoughts ought to be worrisome to you though.:p

Go Big Blue!

I thought I edited mine before tipoff to say Kentucky would overcome a 17-point deficit to win by 7, led by Kevin Knox pouring in 34, but having a PAR-boil number of 0, but I can't find the edit now, either.

Strange!

(Hehehehehehe).

Only 2 players picked Kentucky to win -- shame on us--with both very conservatively selecting a win of 1 or 2 points. 2 points was closer than 1, so first game point awarded here.

K-Knox led all scorers with 34, and of the two that picked Knox, this one was closer. Nobody saw 34 coming, though. 2nd point awarded here.

Cats had 20 fouls, Mountaineers 23, for a total of 43, or 6 OVER the number. Two very close picks here, each get a point.

I thought the PAR-boiled number might be huge with that many Kevin Knox points--but alas, 0 assists means his PAR-boil number is a surprising "0." This was the lowest pick, and good for the KSR point.

With two KSR points, no need for the tiebreaker, and BigBluePappy chalks up another win! Congrats, Pappy!

Wow.
Remember, even a blind hog finds an acorn every now and then...
I just can't believe the game that KK had.
Had a surprise party for my better half so I didn't get to watch it live, but it did not disappoint.
Go Big Blue!

The fun of PAR-boiled

I thought about trying to substitute a "1" for any category that ended in zero in the rules, but it seemed more fun this way. It could be a large number. Or it could be zero. Almost like a Price is Right thing where somebody bids $1.

I do like it better when the "multiplier" is something crazy, like the assist number is 5, rebounds 6, etc. Probably works better with guards and playmaking types, but big roll of the dice for a high-scoring forward, too. I like it.
