Congrats to the Tubster. He peaked early, but he's got staying power, as evidenced by UM at #14.

Will always love Tubby!! Couldn't be any happier for him, and I hope he sees 600.

Not an enemy of Tubby, and he might as well enjoy success as anyone else. I'm pretty ambivalent on him, but congrats to him on
# 500. That is an accomplishment for sure.

OTS is a nice guy and a good coach, and I wish him nothing but success. Unless, of course, his Minnesota team plays against Kentucky in the NCAA Tournament. Then I hope his team loses by 30!

Congratulations Tubby!! I bet it seemed like an eternity to get there.

I know "20 wins" is no longer "the standard" for judging a team's season. But to some extent, it still is--at 20 wins, it's a winning season, and there is some degree of accomplishment attached to that number.

500 wins is 25 of those seasons.

500 wins is an accomplishment. I had not really thought about it until reading blueboss' post. It really can be an eternity.

Even if you do better than anyone has ever done and *average* 30 wins a season--that's still 17 YEARS of 30 win seasons to reach 500 wins.

Eternity is right.

It is quite an accomplishment and a coach has to have been at it a while to get there, being at KY has got to help pad getting there quicker than having not been at KY. Just say on average that Darrell pointed out and taking 25 seasons to get to 500, just imagine how much longer eternity seems playing "Tubby ball" jeez.

Cal hitting 30+ wins in 10 years adding 300 wins will go by comparatively speaking in the blink of an eye

Not easy to do because you have to become a HC at a relatively young age, be successful consistently and not get fired

Congratulations on the milestone that few have achieved
