I have a 16 yr old and a 19 yr old, both daughters. It's a good news-bad news article. The bad outweighs the good, I think.

I wasn't sure if it was just my kids or what, but they said very few of their friends dated in high school. It would be a bunch of kids going out together platonically, but not much of what we consider traditional dating.

We only need to look to Japan to see where this is headed. This has been an issue in Japan for a couple decades now.

Have definitely seen it morph, even from my oldest daughter (age 28) to my youngest (age 18).

My daughter is very social. My son is not and games and lives on his phone.
