Turned out to be a coral snake. Nothing like a poisonous critter slithering down your hallway to get your juices flowing. We swept it outside, then realized it wasn't a king snake. Fortunately my dogs didn't see it.

Yeah, any kind of snake inside of the house, whether poisonous or not, is not a good situation.

That's why I keep a .38 special loaded with snake shot on my person when I walk my dogs. I have way too many poisonous snakes around here. Actually had a small alligator sitting beside my daughter's car on Thursday evening, sunning himself on the pavement. I see that quite a bit too. But then too, I do live right on Lake Okeechobee.

I've had a few mice of late, and I thought that was disturbing.

At least it wasn't on a plane, or Sam Jackson would have shown up and cussed a lot.

Years ago my friends and I snagged a coral snake off of the Martin Co golf course... looked pretty good on a black Stetson.

Thats after we ushered him (or her---I didn't check) outside.

That's appears to be a pretty good size for a coral.

Red touches yellow, dangerous fellow.
