The BLU Tank 3 -- offers 72 hours of talk-time, 30 days of stand by time. Has a MP3/MP4 player, built-in FM radio. GSM Quad bank (works with my provider, T-Mobile). It's also a dual sim card that the cell providers don't carry, where you can have two telephone numbers in the one phone.

It's $27.

OR

The Blackberry Curve. Brings back my old favorite built-in physical keyboard that I sorely miss. I've probably typed ten million words on my smartphones since I abandoned my last one, but I've never completely gotten over my pining for the physical keyboard.

Seems to be several of these out there--QWERTY keyboard, quad-band GSM phone, 2.0MP camera. Talk-time about 5 hours, 17 day standby time.

Here's one.

Which do you prefer?

And no, I'm not kidding. I'm not abandoning my Galaxy S5--when I do, I'll upgrade in the same family, most likely--but this is a backup phone. Family phone. Extra phone. T-Mobile offered a free phone line, so I took it, and don't know what to do with it, and thought it would be cool to have a "physical," dumb phone that would, basically, make phone calls. Wouldn't have to reboot or anything. So I'm looking for a dumb phone.

I thought about going back to the old Razor flip phone. I also probably have several old dumb phones laying around the house that I probably ought to just use, but where's the fun in that?

Oh--I forgot about this one. The Talkase T3. Doubles as a smartphone cover.

Or here's a rectal cell phone. At least, that's what the scuttlebutt says. (Insert groan here--bad pun, and for real, if you buy one and try it that way).

If it is a spare phone, I'd go with the best battery so it works when you need it.
