Play the KSR Hall of Fame Game Contest: Kentucky vs. Georgia[B]

4. Birdie or Bogey? Malik Monk is Kentucky's top "PAR" shooter--Points + Assists + Rebounds (21.7 + 2.3 + 2.5 = 26.5). Yante Maten is Georgia's top "PAR" shooter (19.7 + 1.5 + 7.7 = 28.9). We're going to play UGA, so we want to know if we're going to score a BIRDIE (hold Maten under PAR) or a BOGEY (allow him to score over PAR), and we want to know if UGA will score a BIRDIE (hold Monk under PAR) or a BOGEY (allow Monk to score over PAR).

Your answer should be:

UGA will score a BIRDIE against Monk
UK will score a BOGEY against Maten

In that format.

Winners will get both right. But remember--UK is playing UGA, so they score a BIRDIE/BOGEY based on Maten's performance; and UGA scores based on Monk's performance.

Tiebreaker: Point differential between biggest UGA lead and biggest UK lead (for example, if UK has a 12 point lead at some point in the game, and UGA's biggest lead in the game is 9, then the answer here is 21.

I think we were about to give up on Monk Monster Games, but Krank didn't--picking Monk at 27 (he scored 37) for high scorer was smart, but even that didn't give him enough credit. Close enough for the point, though!

Cats were a very good 9-21 for the game from the arc, missing 12 shots. This meant they were UNDER, by 1 the missed total of 13. One lucky guy got it on the nose.

Monk went way over his PAR average, so Georgia BOGEYED against him.
Maten went a little over his PAR average too, so Kentucky also BOGEYED against him.

Double Bogey was the correct answer, or both over their PAR. If we do this again, we'll probably pick two players on the same team. Makes it a little easier, and it will probably make you focus on the other team so it makes more sense. "I.E., will Kentucky BIRDIE or BOGEY against this player for Team "X?" His PAR is 20. That way if we hold him under his PAR, we birdied--just like in golf. If he scores over his PAR, we bogeyed--just like in golf.

Got a 2nd HOF game in a row going to the tiebreaker, between Catfan73 and Darrell KSR, each earning 2 points in the game.

I show the largest lead for UGA at 19-5, or 14 points, and the largest lead for Kentucky the final margin of 9 points. The difference between the two is 23.

With a pretty close pick of 21 points, I edged out Catfan73 for the win, but it had to go to the tiebreaker to get it (much like UK had to go to OT to beat UGA.)
