Elimination game-basketball style

Elimination (or Survival) game: Its that time again so lets get started. In the basketball version we only use SEC vs SEC matchups. Each round (2 rounds each week. SAT/SUN games is one round and TUES/WED/THURS is the second round) you pick ONE SEC team to win from each round. Its that simple. There are no points, no spreads. Just pick the winner. HOWEVER in the following weeks you can not re-use either team. ONCE A TEAM IS USED, IT CANNOT BE REUSED until round 15. So if you pick FL to win in round 1 then you can not use FL in round 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 etc. If you pick Alabama in round 2 you can not use FL or Bama in rounds 3 or 4 or 5 or 6. If the team you pick loses then you get a strike. Three strikes and you are out of the contest. This game requires you to play from round one (and if you miss a round you get an automatic strike) or take a strike. The last person standing wins. As we get later in the year I might modify the game a bit to get to a single overall winner but fear not, after about 5 rounds it gets hard and by round 10 I don't expect too many to be surviving. We may do a redux midway thru the year if we get lots of folks flunking out early.

Shows just how well you and Kingcat have done not to have a loss yet--and if you look at the teams you chose; you also went out on a limb, just the right one(s).

Predicting a Missouri team, at home, to defeat a conference-winless Auburn team without Danjel Purifoy wasn't much of a stretch. But slammed me in the face! Tough, tough game (for me, at least).
