The biggest supermoon in the last 70 years will light up the night sky on November 14, creating a stunning natural sight you wont want to miss...

The moon will appear full and bright on both November 13 and 14, with its full peak occurring on the 14th at 8:52 a.m. ET, according to EarthSky (http://earthsky.org/?p=190918).

It is going to be cool enough the night of the 13th if you are going to be taking any pictures, make sure to place the camera, in a bag outside for an hour before picture taking. That allow the lens, and mirror if using an SLR, to acclimate. Taking a warm camera and lens outside into the chill of the night results in a foggy lens and moisture accumulation on the camera sensor.

Just a fyi

Great tip, dan!

In addition to that, the article talks about reducing any chance of vibration, which might seem obvious, yet I am not a photography expert, so take it FWIW.

Thanks Krank!

Bumpin' this for K-dub and anyone else interested. Should be great viewing tonight and tomorrow night, weather permitting in your area... try to check it out as close to the horizon as possible for the "biggest" looking moon, but it should be nice and bright throughout the night.

Terrific orange color when it came above the horizon. And yes it is much bigger than normal

How will it be tonight?

Close to the same, it was actually at it's closest point to earth this morning about 6:00 am so it will not be at it's largest tonight

Good enough, thanks.
