Hunting in the future will never be the same for her (http://www.foxnews.com/great-outdoors/2016/11/03/big-buck-alert-missouri-11-year-old-tags-178-inch-monster-on-first-hunt.html)

I like seeing stories like this. She bagged a big 'ol buck and also was able to have good quality family time with her Dad. It doesn't get any better than that. That interaction is what family is all about, strengthening those familial bonds.

But summer sausage and jerky? Those are fine but venison is awesome on the grill if it's been field dressed right.

Or just venison roast.

I love sausage and jerky myself, but there are a lot of good options for variety there....

Don't forget venison stew.

I typically soak my venison is salt water, it draws all the blood out of the meat and changes the flavor. I canned some venison a couple of years ago, it was so tender it melted in your mouth.

Rather than start a new thread, I will just post the picture of this Tennessee monster deer here.
