This is a common theme among the middle left and the GOP establishment and RINOs., The truth is that they have confused cause and effect. Rush didn't talk millions of people into being frustrated to the point of exhaustion with the direction of the country, he tapped into it.

Trump won the nomination for two simple reasons:

1) Voters are MASSIVELY Frustrated with the direction of the nation and the GOP leadership in particular, who have voted for massive spending, overseen huge expansions in regulation and generally positioned themselves as Democrat Lite.

2) the GOP, unlike the democrats, didn't put in place a delegate system that allowed them to derail a left field candidate. Had the Democrats had the same system as the GOP we'd have Sanders very possibly winning the nomination.

And that's the real point. The democrats almost nominated an admitted SOCIALIST, and only missed it b/c they had McGovern mess them up decades ago so they put in a system that nearly guarantees they can pick their candidate regardless of the voters.

That shows that the issue is not the radio media pulling the GOP to the right, it just shows that both sides are so very desperate to throw the bums out they'll vote for about anyone who is an outsider who promises to NOT be part of the establishment.

That's not to mention the fact that the leftist media WANTED Trump to win and did everything they could to help. Massive media coverage, intentionally sandbagging bad stories on him till he won the nomination, etc.

I've been hearing this "dittohead" thing since the 80s from the left and the establishment. Yeah at times they are over the top and I'm sure there's some percentage impact they have, but they aren't the source of the frustration nor are they the reason Trump won the nomination. It's highly unlikely that Rush et al have been able to force the GOP base in a direction for nearly 30 years. It's far more likely that base in fact does feel disenfranchised and RUsh and the rest simply play to it.

Heck, Glen Beck has endorsed Hillary he hates Trump so much, and many of the other talk hosts were stronger for Cruz than Trump.

The left, the GOP leadership, the RINOs all want some exogenous explanation that some outside source has brainwashed people b/c they don't like the truth: that those people are just beyond frustrated with their leadership, and are so desperate for new leadership they'll even vote for a complete ass like Trump.

But then again the Left is so desperate to get a leader who isn't an establishment sellout they'll vote for an aging Socialist. So no one is much happy with how things are being done on either side.

This article is like the pot calling the kettle black. The GOP establishment is not conservatives, they are truly democrat lites. They are only worried about their power, position and how much money they can steal. Same as liberal democrats

Funny reading that article talking about certain media people or Fox pushing people far right with basically lies when in truth the democrat party is pushing its base farther and farther left.

Rush and Hannity were really Cruz backers in the beginning. The actual Fox News part of Fox has not really totally backed Fox, IMO Megan Kelly wants Hillary to win. I know Shep does. Oreillynwants whoever will make him more money. Hannity is basically a turd.

People are frustrated with DC which shows in how people trust them. Trump may be a little crude and Rude but he has not lied to congress, to the public, money laundered thru his charity, put national security up for grabs, allowed 4 Americans to be murdered and then lied to their families. How anyone can vote foe a lying crook is beyond me

I'll call BS on this too. Ring wing media is no worse than the likes of Rachael Maddow or Chris ODonnell.
