I'd argue we're off the precipice and falling down the side of the abyss as we speak. I'm just doubtful we can climb back out.

I would agree with you. We fell off the side, long before you and I were born. Long before many of our grandparents were born. We are jsut waiting to hit the bottom and see how things shake out.
