Segregation lives but it's OK if a minority wants it. If we wanted an All-White dorm because we didn't feel safe around blacks, is there any question about the legalities of it? Keep in mind that this is a publicly funded college.

Equal treatment isn't the goal. Special treatment is. You want to be treated different in a special beneficial way. In this case segregation is fine but if I wanted a white only living space, I'd be a racist.
