After reading this article (http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2651681-mike-freemans-10-point-stance-kaepernick-anger-intense-in-nfl-front-offices), I wonder: has the hate gone too far? Because normally we talk about hate in sports but don't mean actual hate. I think we've got that here.

I think he's horribly misguided (up to and including wearing a t shirt with Fidel Castro on it (http://thefederalist.com/2016/08/29/kaepernick-incident-illustrates-the-lefts-selective-concern-for-free-expression/) while announcing his stand against oppression) but don't think he's a traitor, as one exec said.

You never may know his true motives. Could he have done this to make it tough for the Niners to cut him?
He doesn't have any history of political discharge. Why now?
On the flip side, had he been on top of his game, and the Niners a juggernaut, I doubt much would have been made of it.

Very interesting point.

Keep hearing rumors about him being romantically involved with some gal that is some kind of "activist", and that he has become a Muslim due to her involvement with him. Have no idea if any of this is true, but it does seem peculiar that he wasn't saying anything before, and now suddenly he's a born again community activist that is so concerned with this.

I loved the comments from Tony Stewart
