Seems it's a Twitter hashtag (#fav7films) that's trending right now. What are you favorite 7?

Not sure I have 7....

For sure
The Fast and Furious (Part 1)
Moneyball
Field of Dreams
Summer Catch

Probably
Rocky 4
Rambo 2

7th?....not sure. Any baseball movie, some other sports (Tin Cup?), Matrix, Shawshank, Marvels stuff, probably some more. But those first 4 I watch fairly often.

Good picks. I almost went with Shawshank--if it was a top 10 list instead of top 7 it would be there. Mine:

Lawrence of Arabia
The Godfather
My Cousin Vinny
Casablanca
Caddyshack
The Quiet Man
It's A Wonderful Life

Do the Police Academy movies count as one, or do you have to count all seven individually? Asking for a friend.

Well they'll all be Harry Potter movies, but which ones... :party0035:

I've observed there's a lot of overlap in my taste in music and film with many others here.

You guys should be really worried.

Tougher to do this than the music I think, but here goes:

Guardians of the Galaxy (I think it's now federal law there has to be a Marvel film on every best film list)
The Godfather
Tremors (hard to not put Tremors II on here too)
Smokey and the Bandit
The Quiet Man (my fav John Wayne movie, honestly I could just do 7 of his films and be happy)
Kill Bill Part I
Tucker A Man and His Dream

Honorable mentions to Groundhog Day and Caddyshack, both above and both on my favs list.

Here's my serious 7 list:

The Godfather
The Quiet Man
The Manchurian Candidate
Dr. Strangelove
His Girl Friday (barely beating out Bringing up Baby, super tough choice)
Star Wars
Apocalypse Now

Last out: The Searchers, Patton, Empire Strikes Back, Kill Bill 1

OK, that's my real final list. This was a tough one.

I'm going a little away from more classics to ones I think are deserving of being at that level, very underrated types (mostly) with a nod to an all time or two.

Saving Private Ryan
My Cousin Vinnie
Blues Brothers
12 Angry Men
Hoosiers
Blazing Saddles
Forest Gump

Honorable mentions include K-24 the Widowmaker, A Time to Kill (possibly my all-time favorite), Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Fast Times at Ridgemont High (I'm not kidding), Schindler's List, Bull Durham and Field of Dreams.

I considered Fast Times as well as Saving Private Ryan and Vacation. Definate honorable mentions, along with Caddy shack 2. Can't top that Jackie Mason performance!

Animal House
Shawshank Redemption

A Time to Kill

I was made to watch Old Yeller with my class in 4th grade. When they killed him, I was so distraught the teacher called my grandmother and I went home early from school. Then I missed 2 more days. I am still traumatized. It has been almost 40 years!
