Fast and furious was a terrible idea in concept, and is worse in practice.

Whoever conceived this harebrained scheme needs to be made public, and then everyone involved needs to be prosecuted to the fullest extent possible.
It is schemes like this, hatched in some evil damn politician's mind, and then carried out by law enforcement officers who know better than to do something like this, that causes the average American to not want to trust this level of law enforcement. And rightfully so. Along with some idiot DOJ attorneys that absolutely know that this was not only questionable at face value, but very likely illegal and who, if they had any inkling of what ethical conduct is, would have shot this down as soon as they heard it.
Innocent people are dead because of this. And people from different regions of the world who should not have been subjected to the chaos involved because of the actions of politicians, lawyers, and cops whose jobs it is to protect innocent people from this kind of brazenly dangerous and wanton behavior.
This still makes my blood boil. This crap gives every honest, hard working law enforcement officer in our country a black eye.
