View Full Version : I'm so irritated at myself--lost my Nike dry-fit hat

I had a "go-to" Nike dry-fit hat that I threw in the back of my car, and I used for about everything. It was a weird-ish material (maybe polyester blend of some sort, I don't know; almost reminds me of a spongy-foam like material--sounds bad, but it was really great), very light, very comfortable, and wicked sweat wonderfully. It was black, so i could wear it with anything, and not have to worry about "allegiances" when I wore it. I wear it when I forget to wear another hat; I wear it when I run outdoors in the sun; I wear it, well, everywhere.

Disney's Splash Mountain has it now.

I'm usually very good about removing my hat, but I was recording the ride, having a blast, and didn't even think about it. The funny thing is--my oldest son was sitting in the car ahead of me. He also forgot to remove his hat. Yep, Splash Mountain ate them both.

It's just part of the vacation cost, I thought; didn't bother me that much (other than the waste). But what I found today is--I don't know what hat it is. I'm looking on Amazon, and there are a number of hats it "could" be. But nothing that for sure it "is."

To complicate matters--I can't remember where I bought it. I did not buy it online. I think I bought it when we were in Fort Morgan, but it might've been somewhere else.

I guess I can order two or three hats from Amazon that it *could* be, and hope that one of them is the right one, and return the other(s). I hate doing crap like that, though.

Dan, it's not that one, although one like that would probably work fine. I like the looks of that one just fine, although the Swoosh mark looks a little plastic-like to me, and I'd just as soon have it painted on if it wasn't embroidered.

My wife thinks I actually got it at Walmart in the sporting goods section when we were at the beach. She also said we ran across it at another store here, but she couldn't remember what store. I didn't even remember running across it until she mentioned it. Maybe Dick's Sporting Goods?

Found it, kinda. This is it -

Nike Golf 2010 Tour Perforated Golf Hat, Black

http://www.walmart.com/ip/Nike-Golf-2010-Tour-Perforated-Golf-Hat-Black/46533097

I said, "kinda" because it's out of stock online.

I really like the look and feel of this hat. It really isn't perforated, but that's what they call it. And the 2010 isn't a year, but a model - however, on my phone, I haven't been able to find it again.

I'll travel to up to two Walmart tomorrow to look for them in person but I don't really expect them to be there. I bought it either one year ago or two years, and I don't think I've seen it recently.

Maybe it left bc it was jealous of your sweat band.

Or embarrassed by it, like my kids...

Thanks for the pic. I'll look for it next time I'm at splash mountain.

I'll ask my son what hat he was wearing, too, so you can look for both of them.

If anyone wants one (you may hate it), it is back in stock at Wally World online. Just ordered a replacement. Free shipping today, too.

Nope. That is actually a lot different, especially in the back and sides. The one linked above is a different style.

You young men with hair may not have the same need for detail as we older bald guys!

I'm "ok" with perforated hats, but believe it or not, the 2010 Golf Tour dri-fit one isn't perforated. At all. It says it is; it isn't.

Here's a pic of the one I like (I also like the black swoosh on the black hat):

Note that there is no perforation in the hat. The "2010" doesn't have the holes.

Here's the other one. Nothing wrong with it, just not the style I like in *that* hat.

Here is one similar to that one: http://www.eastbay.com/product/model:242553/sku:79421010/nike-dri-fit-featherlight-cap-mens/black/black/?cm=

It has the white swoosh instead of a black one, I kind of like the black on black better.

That does look similar, but gives a little different look that some might prefer with the white swoosh, good find! My tastes are similar to yours, as I like the look of the black swoosh on black, too.

I hope my next Nike hat comes in the form of a 2017 National Champions UK hat.

Again, same taste as me :).
