Sad story. Retired astronaut from West Monroe, Louisiana, James Donald Halsell Jr., living in Huntsville, crashed his car 10 miles East of Tuscaloosa Monday morning at 2:50 am.
He struck a Ford Fiesta, which ejected two sisters, ages 11 and 13, and died.
He has been charged with murder. Speed and alcohol are suspected as causes of the accident.
