Bernie had the guts to call Hillary's gun stance what it is, a very thinly veiled attempt to basically eliminate the sale of guns in the US.

She's for lifting the legislative protection against suing gun makers and sellers simply for a gun being used by a bad person. Not a malfunction of the gun, just using it for ill purpose.

Basically the legal equivalent of suing Ford or GM if someone is hurt by a drunk driver in one of their cars.

The anti gun people started this strategy in the 1980s, and frankly it was going to work. legislate the companies into not being able to survive, and dealers as well. So Congress had to step in and legislatively protect from these unfair lawsuits, and that has protected the industry from the anti gun forces using lawsuits as a weapon to simply exhaust the industry.

Hillary wants to undo that protection, and in reality what that means is a ban broader than anything Obama proposed. Bernie knows what it would mean of course, which is why he supported that legislation and continues to do so, but I'm glad he finally put her call to "hold the gun industry accountable" into the real perspective of what that means.

Bernie is a true socialist who thinks that government can and should try to fix everything and that the way to rebuild the middle class is to just take money by force from elsewhere, but I don't doubt his sincerity.

Anyway he got this one right.

I've about decided to write in. Just not sure if I want a Citizen/Doc ticket or a Mick/Jazy ticket.

It would be the Doc/Citizen ticket. I promise free thongs for everyone

Mick and Jazy it is. While I love the idea, there are more people that I don't want to see wearing thongs, than the number of people I do want to see wearing thongs.

I think I can talk him into a Citizen/Doc ticket with incentivized low cost thongs for hot chicks versus the free for all thing.

What I promise is we'll actually put individual liberty above pandering for votes and creating dependency. The tax and spend handout policy of both Hillary and Sanders is nothing but a way to cut out the souls of people and make them dependent and pliable.

The only difference between the two is that Sanders really does think he's helping, he just can't understand that in the long run it only hurts the middle class. Hillary OTOH doesn't give a rat if she's helping as long as it keeps her in power and raking in billions.

That's why Sanders is less worried about gun ownership. He really doesn't understand that his economic plan is really an enslavement plan, so he doesn't worry about the slave revolt that the extreme left does, thus he doesn't see a need to have us disarmed. The far left very much wants us disarmed so government can never be challenged.

I could live being second on the ticket. Talk about an easy job!! I spend all my time going to sporting events and funerals.

I had the same thought. "Doc does all the work, I show up for state of the union addresses and ribbon cuttings..." :)

For as long as it takes you to disband about 80% of it and return the other 20% to the states. Then you can start on HUD. You can wipe 100% of it.

And abolish the Department of Homeland Security. And I nominate Darrell for Attorney General of the United States. Or Darrell, would the SCOTUS be more favorable to you?

As someone who believes that there is such thing as common sense gun control, that we're not doing enough today, but am in favor of protecting the 2nd amendment, I stand with Bernie here, that this proposal of Clinton is a bunch of 'BS'.

lol. Man, I'm flattered. I'd feel better with some of the KSR brethren in the ranks, but keep me away from politics! I'd rather good men (and women) be put in place, and enjoy the benefits of a well-run country.

BigBlue92 doesn't venture over here much, but he's a politico guy that has a ton of common sense. Except he'll hang out with me at basketball tournaments and UK bowl games (if I can remember back that far). Other than that flaw, I'd appoint him to either of those positions and be happy with it.
