I had to memorize it as part of a poetry class in high school. I'd normally dread it, but it's Scottish so I got to do a bad Montgomery Scott impersonation while reciting it.

I actually get the need to account for critters crossing roads and trying to protect them, though I'm confused how any species of mouse can be endangered, but how do they talk the mice into using a big bridge? Wouldn't a few easily dug tunnels work really well and save a ton of money?
