Hopefully this formats okay. Keep in mind that I have several diet restrictions so most of this is opinion of family and friends as my smaller sample size is not a fair judge. These are short tidbits but will hopefully get you started in the right direction. All of these places we would return to so I don't intend for any to sound harsh.
Cobalt’s – More expensive but I love it. Nice view.

Mikee’s – Amy’s family favorite. Smaller place but great food.

Shrimp Basket – Sister restaurant of Mikee’s. We have never been there but they have all you can eat shrimp one night.

LuLu’s – Fun atmosphere, close to a lot of things to do for kids like go carts, etc. Food is okay to good.

The Hangout – Fun place on the beach if you like live music. Food is okay to good.

Tacky Jack’s – Decent food, fun atmosphere, great view (I can only speak for the Orange Beach locations). Decent food here means that some loved it others did not care for it so maybe it depends on what you get? (locations in Orange Beach, Ft. Morgan, and Gulf Shores)

Sea N Suds - Food is just okay IMO, but it is neat to eat with the ocean view

Matt's Homemade Ice Cream - Great Ice Cream. Best we have found in Gulf Shores.

Flippers - Inland on a bay, everyone really liked their food, but no one raved about it either.

Lamberts - Home of the throwed rolls and southern food. Long lines and you will over eat. We don't go there much b/c we can get southern food anytime.

Cosmo's - Have not been there yet, but I have heard great things about it.

There is a new place near Cobalt's (near the Florida line) that looks neat. I think it is a casual burger like place I think, but they have a picnic looking area and you eat outside by the beach. Looks neat.
