We're Closing on Black Friday and telling all of our Customers to take a hike!

REI will be closed on Black Friday, giving their employees a day's paid holiday, and is encouraging everyone to go on a hike that day. Analysts contend, aside from losing sales, REI will get good publicity and avoid discounting their prices. Apparently, the higher volumes on that day along with the discounts, make it a bearable decision for the national retailer.
