If the trek over land in the Dominican Republic does not ruin further development, she may be knocking at your door by Monday.

Small weak storm right now, but a trip across the gulf stream may giver her a boost.

We are expecting tropical storm winds. That's kite flying stuff.

We are currently outside "the cone" in my area over here in central southwest Florida. But we'll be looking at the possibility of 3-5 inches of rain. We can certainly use it, need it, just not all at once.
I am on stand-by for call out, but I don't think the phone is going to ring. JMO.

She had a rough night in the DR and Cuba. If she can gather any convection around her center she may re-energize later next week and if that happens the west coast and maybe the panhandle may see some TS strength winds. If she finds and stalls out a bit in the loop current she could hit Cat 1 status before nearing land. Having said all that, the wind shear in the area is forecast to be in the 20to 30 KT range which "should" finish her off over the open water.

Hope everyone gets the rain they need with minimal wind.

I believe that Fred is due to start trending north this week.
