I have one that has become tempermental and never completely did what I wanted, even when it was working well.

Here's what I want:

a) Inexpensive
b) Will allow me to see outside on my computer "live"
c) Will allow motion detection to send me email pics of what is going on
d) Will allow me to see on my smartphone

My Foscam did a) - c) well, when it wasn't misbehaving. Never could get the feature to work on d) where I should've been able to see it on my phone, and I want that.

Any suggestions?

we have a Swann system at work. Good system. Like it a lot. Came with 4 cameras but easy to add 4 more. Does all that you ask. Cost was about 500 iirc and we had it installed by an electrician. Took him and a helper 4 hrs

No, I've spent a couple hundred thousand bucks over the years on the museum.
