Used to be I could just go to a store and buy a pack of light bulbs. Now they are all different kinds. And they're a lot more expensive than they used to be.

What do you buy, and why?

Yeah, as I sit and think about it, I have probably no less than 5 different types of indoor light bulbs.

--little candle-shaped incandescents for our dining room chandelier;
--small utility incandescents for fixtures that light along our stairs to the basement;
--larger floodlight-type lights that go in our recessed fixtures, some incandescent some flourescent;
--small incandescent lights with pin connectors that go in track lighting in our kitchen;
--compact flourescents for our lamps and bathroom fixtures.

What a mess. Whenever I have to go buy replacements, I take the burned-out bulb with me to make sure I get the right type. More complicated than it used to be, that's for sure.
