Dish just announced this today for $20/mo

It gives you:
ESPN, ESPN2, CNN, TBS, TNT, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Travel Channel, Food Network, ABC Family, HGTV, Disney Channel and Maker


Will work from day one on:
iOS, Android, Amazon's Fire TV and Fire TV Stick, Nexus Player, Xbox One, Rokus and LG and Samsung smart TVs, as well as on the web on Mac and PC.

No mention of chromecast yet but hopefully it gets added soon.

As someone who just quit cable, very very enticing. They just need to release it for chromecast and I would sign up.

I've got probably 8 or 9 months left on an introductory offer that was 'reasonable," I guess--but when that expires, I could look long and hard at this.

Now, would there be an ability to get local channels, too? I don't live in the country, but I live far enough away from the city that local broadcasts, without cable/satellite/etc. is generally poor.

If I could get local plus those broadcasts--it might be a go.
