Had an unusual event for me, which is that I attended a movie tonight. It's unusual because when my daughter stopped working at the movie theater, I had to pay for movies, which now makes them very rare.

Anyway, I thought the movie was very good. Sorta hit the right spots for me--it was a "war" movie, involving a U.S. Olympian, with survival elements, and prisoner of war based. Lot of interesting stuff and I won't go into detail in case you haven't seen it yet. True story based on Louie Zamperini and WWII. There's a book on it I want to read now.

Won't be the best movie you've ever seen, but you will get your money's worth. It's over 2 hours long, and my 14-year old son and I watched it together, and it kept his interest (and mine) the entire time.
